Job Description
Karla Otto is looking for an enthusiastic Account Manager who is a self-motivator, but also a team player with ability to lead daily operations and motivate others. The candidate will have at least 3 years of experience either in-house at a fashion brand or within an agency. The Account Manager will require good writing and communication skills, knowledge of fashion trends and the industry and comfortable in managing middle- management clients, media and stylists.
Working alongside the Account Director:
• Suggest ideas and initiatives to drive brand awareness
• Proactively outreach to key market /news editors and stylists in key regional long/short lead, and online media outlets to secure fashion media coverage, features, and news items
• Handle day to day PR activity and duties on account including sample management and delivery.
• Keep an overview of collections and sample loan activities.
• Writing skill; create interesting, creative, and effective press materials including press releases, media invites. Other materials also include research documents etc.
• Monitor press coverage. Pitch and manage accounts and execute profile stories and editorial coverage
• Manage press previews, fashion shows and the planning of events including logistics, catering, direct mailings, and décor, followed by re-cap reports
• Compile / oversee monthly status reports that include brands’ progress comparing each month’s performances
• Participate in client meetings and conference calls and prepare meeting recap.
• Able to lead, encourage, mentor, and develop a team of junior staff members along with manager.
