The successful applicant for the Business Development Manager role will join a rapidly growing team of entrepreneurial individuals with significant branding, marketing and digital experience within China, as well as in international markets.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development
• Overall responsibility for lead generation in the China market
• Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network
• Leveraging agency network contacts to secure opportunities in new agency RFP and tender processes
• Identify potential clients, and the key decision makers within the client organization
• Research and build relationships with new clients
• Set up meetings between client decision makers and Hot Pot strategy/digital team
• Plan approaches and pitches
• Work with the team to develop commercial proposals that address client briefs;
• Participate in pricing the proposal
• Close business by handling client negotiations on proposal terms and managing contract stage
Client Retention
• Present new products/services and enhance relationships with existing clients
• Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
• Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs
Business Development Planning
• Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
• Input in to the company’s mainland China business development strategy
• Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in revenue
• Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
Management and Research
• Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate
• Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales
任职要求
Requirements

• Native/fluent English speaker
• Fluent Mandarin speaker, with native-level reading and communication skills
• Well-versed in China digital platforms and trends
• Experience of pitching strategy, content and creative concepts to clients
• Superb presentation ability and highly refined communication skills
• Entrepreneurial attitude, ability to define tasks and manage own schedule to meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to digest, understand and deliver on client briefs
• Min 2 years’ experience in business development role
• Digital, branding or marketing agency experience preferred
• Experience working with both Chinese and international brands
• Proven track record of creating and filling a new business pipeline based on BD strategy
• Existing network of marketing and agency contacts
• Understanding of agency commercials and account profitability
