The Project Manager is responsible for planning the scope, schedule, cost and quality of a project; and for managing the successful delivery of the project, from start to finish, as measured by these performance objectives.
Project Managers typically become involved in a new project soon after the need for the project has been identified. They work with the client, account services, creative, planners and technology specialists to determine project requirements, and are involved in selling the project approach to the client. An ability to find meaningful project solutions, and at the same time to manage client expectations in a professional way, are prerequisites for success.
Project Managers lead the project from the point when they become involved until project close-out. Externally, they often directly face the client for the purposes of the project. Internally, they must work closely with team members from each discipline, such as Account Service, Creative, and Technology. Coordinates the allocation and utilization of resources with Operations/Traffic and attends the weekly Traffic meeting. \ Secures acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Project Sponsor and internal stakeholders. They must be outgoing team players, with an attitude for a variety of Interactive knowledge areas, and should thrive on involvement in the day-to-day work of their projects. They must have excellent communication and leadership skills, pro-activity, problem-solving ability, and a nose for trouble before it happens.
