Position Summary
An Associate at Burson-Marsteller will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the public relations industry and be skilled in traditional media relations and social media communications. He/she will be expected to manage a minimum of two retainer client relationships with minimal guidance and play a more active role in supporting new business. An Associate may be expected to supervise the work of an intern, or Account Executive and delegate standard tasks accordingly.
Purpose

He/she will start to work as a mentor for junior members of the team and be responsible for overall program delivery.

•A minimum of 3 years of work experience in professional services firm, journalism, public relations, communications or related field is preferred
•General understanding of the techniques of a professional services/consultancy firm, journalism, public relations, communications or related field
•Basic knowledge of media relations from key trade publications to national outlets
•In-depth knowledge of specific industries (such as healthcare, technology, investor relations)
